The Summer Youth Football Championship, held at Al Sailiya Sports Club with the participation of the Qatar Sports for All Federation and under the representation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, witnessed an exciting competitive atmosphere that reflected young people’s passion for football and their spirit of challenge on the pitch.

The tournament kicked off the day before yesterday, featuring 60 players aged between 12 and 18, in matches marked by competitiveness and enthusiasm. The event highlighted several promising talents who showcased outstanding technical skills, all in the presence of supportive families whose cheers added to the enjoyable atmosphere.

The championship is part of the “Sports for All Summer Program 2025”, which continues to offer a variety of activities in stadiums, sports halls, youth centers, sports clubs, public parks, and schools. The program is organized with the participation of 28 public and private institutions, aiming to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage all segments of society—especially children and students—to engage in sports during the summer break.

Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, emphasized that the championship attracted remarkable youth participation, reflecting their deep passion for football and love for competition. He noted that the atmosphere was filled with excitement, determination, and a spirit of challenge on the field. Players delivered strong technical performances, displaying precision in passing, speed in movement, and well-organized teamwork. This was matched by the enthusiastic cheers of families, which added intensity and vibrancy to the matches, befitting the ambitions and aspirations of the youth.

Al Dosari added that the Summer Football Championship is one of the standout events in the “Sports for All Summer Program 2025”, part of a special summer calendar that features diverse activities to meet the aspirations of all community segments, offering them opportunities for participation and interaction. The aim is to raise awareness among children and youth about the importance of sports, and to encourage them to invest their free time during the summer in meaningful athletic activities that help build character and promote a healthy lifestyle.

He also highlighted that “diversity of activities is the key to reaching everyone and achieving the objectives of community sports through the overall calendar of various sporting and recreational events.” The Summer Football Championship, he explained, reflects a comprehensive national vision to promote an active and healthy lifestyle in Qatari society through integrated initiatives that support the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s strategy to build a community that is more aware of the importance of sports and its role in enhancing quality of life.

Al Dosari concluded by expressing his gratitude to the youth team at Al Sailiya Sports Club for their effective cooperation in organizing and hosting the tournament, praising the vital role that sports clubs play in supporting community events and strengthening partnerships in service of youth.
