With the partnership of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Qatar Sports for All Federation is organizing a new round of Sports for All races to mark the National Day of the State of Qatar, to be held at Education City. The first race will start at 7:30 am on Thursday, December 18. Participation is open to men, women, and children, and the competitions will take place on the off-road running track at Education City.

Another race will also be held in celebration of National Day and will be dedicated entirely to women and girls. It will start at 8:30 am on Friday morning at Oxygen Park.

Participation in the first race on Thursday is open to all age groups. For participants aged 17 and above, race distances of 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km are available. A 2.5 km race is designated for the 7–16 age group, in addition to a special race for young children aged 3–6 years over a distance of 800 meters, aimed at encouraging their participation and developing their skills and abilities to help prepare them for future races.

The participation of the Sports for All Federation in the National Day celebrations embodies the slogan “With you we rise, and from you we aspire,” reflecting pride in and appreciation of Qatari identity, strengthening the spirit of national responsibility among all members of society, and reinforcing the state’s efforts to build a bright and prosperous future for coming generations. This is achieved through unified national efforts and through continuous encouragement of participation in community sports activities and the promotion of a culture of sports practice across all segments of society.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, explained that the federation’s continuous and diverse Sports for All activities reflect its commitment to keeping pace with all national occasions in Qatar and engaging with major events hosted by the country. This stems from the federation’s interest in all members of society and represents a reinforcement of its efforts to promote sports culture and increase the number of community sports participants, so that these events and races become part of the daily activity of individuals.

He added that this type of race provides an opportunity for running enthusiasts and prepares them to participate in major races organized by the federation, such as the Thib Race, the Qatar East-to-West Ultramarathon, the five running challenges held in Al Wakrah, Sealine, Fuwairit, Al Zubarah, and Al Khor, the Autumn Race Series, and the weekly women’s races.

Al-Dosari also praised the cooperation of all state entities in facilitating the organization of these races and providing suitable venues and sports facilities, noting that race locations are diversified, including Education City, which hosts weekly sports events such as the “Ladies’ Evening,” in addition to many other distinctive and specialized sports activities.
