The Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, organized the activities of the fifth recreational running race for a distance of 1-2 km in Park 5/6, in cooperation with the Public Works Authority and the Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places. Amidst a distinguished family atmosphere, it was full of various sporting activities, with the participation of all family members.

The events were attended by 78 participants, most of whom were Qataris, who constituted 70% of the total attendance. A group of games and entertainment activities accompanying the race were held, in which parents and their children participated, and children recorded a large attendance of 86% of the total attendance.

The race was held for a distance of 1 km on the running track around the 5/6 Park at five in the evening, and was immediately followed by a 2 km race. The race included walking and jogging for all family members, with the aim of giving families the opportunity to choose the appropriate activity.

After the end of the two race distances, medals and encouragement prizes were distributed to the participants who completed the two race distances.

The events related to the race were accompanied by a set of games and accompanying sports activities, which were highly appreciated by the participating families, in light of the distinguished organization and great diversity of events, which provided a wide opportunity to choose, and spend useful and enjoyable times for them and their children.

Before the race, a group of recreational activities were held, such as tug of war, tennis, badminton, football shooting, and tele-match games that included a number of challenges, including fitness, agility, speed, flexibility, jumping, and softball, with the aim of engaging children in sports. Group challenges within two competing teams, in addition to fitness classes, which were conducted under the supervision of specialized trainers who provided advice and instructions to the participants to practice sports exercises in the correct scientific manner and in a way that provides them with safety.

The fifth recreational running race comes within the series of family races organized by the Sports for All Federation, within the annual calendar of events that includes 575 activities and championships, and a group of various sporting events, through which the federation aims to spread more culture of exercise among all members and groups of society, encourage fathers and mothers to allocate part of their time for their children to participate in sports activities within the family, and to encourage them to make the best use of their spare time, in a way that benefits them and society.
