The Qatar Sports for All Federation has announced the launch of the 12th edition of the Al-Furjan Fields Football Championship, set to begin on September 4th. This championship is one of the main events organized by the Federation under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The event is held regularly, approximately every two months, in various regions of the country, with the aim of activating sports activities in the Al-Furjan fields.

Preparations and final touches are currently underway for the launch of the championship, which will take place at the Al-Naeija West Al-Furjan Fields. Registration for participation in the new edition is ongoing through the Qatar Sports for All Federation app. The championship has attracted significant interest and widespread participation from Qatari youth. It is considered a good opportunity for young and amateur players, who are not registered with the Football Association, to showcase their talents. It also provides sports clubs with an opportunity to discover and recruit promising football talents. The organizing committee has received numerous applications for participation in the championship, which has become a distinctive feature of the activities held at Al-Furjan fields across Qatar.

The previous edition, held at the Al-Dhakhira Field in May, saw the Elite team crowned as the champions of the 11th edition after defeating the Rimah team 2-0 in the final match. The tournament, held in cooperation with the Al-Dhakhira Youth Center, featured eight teams. The Umm Suwayyah team won the award for the best team, Isa Mohamed Al-Mohannadi from the Rimah team was awarded the top scorer of the tournament, Ahmed Mubarak Al-Mohannadi from the Al-Aqda team was named the best goalkeeper, while the Al-Aqda team secured third place after defeating the Aniza team.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, Head of Activities and Events at the Qatar Sports for All Federation, emphasized that the Al-Furjan Championship is one of the events of great value and importance within the Sports for All calendar. The event is held regularly, approximately every two months, and is specifically dedicated to football, the most popular sport that garners significant interest from a large segment of the youth and the community in general. He added that the Al-Furjan Championship is unique in that it moves between residential neighborhoods and opens wide participation opportunities for everyone, especially for young people over the age of sixteen who are not registered with the Football Association. The championship allows them to present themselves and showcase their football talents. He encouraged teams and young people to participate in the upcoming edition of the championship, which is set to begin on the 4th of next month, following the conclusion of the summer sports program organized by the Federation, covering the summer period from June until mid-August.
