Under the representation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Qatar Sports for All Federation announced the readiness of seven community football fields, now reopened for football enthusiasts and walking activity lovers through the Sport for All application. Located in Umm Salal, Al-Aziziyah, Khalifa City, Al-Khor, Al-Wukair, Al-Thumama, and Nuaija West, these fields join the Federation’s existing network of 16 community football fields across the country, providing safe and accessible environments for residents to enjoy sports within their neighborhoods.

This initiative is part of the Federation’s continuous efforts to expand sports participation and maximize the use of community facilities by offering attractive programs and youth-oriented activities.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, confirmed the completion of maintenance and upgrades, ensuring the fields are fully ready to host bookings and the Federation’s regular football tournaments. He stressed that community fields play a pivotal role in promoting sports culture, serving as vital outlets for youth while providing amateur players opportunities to engage in various sporting activities. He further noted that these fields attract over 3,000 players monthly, including participants from government institutions and social clubs.

Al-Dosari highlighted that the Furjan Championships will return after a summer break, starting with the 14th edition at the Nuaija field. These tournaments, he explained, aim to enhance community participation and encourage all groups to adopt sports as a lifestyle that reflects values of vitality and activity.

He pointed out that during Summer Sport for All 2025, community fields welcomed more than 8,400 participants, reaffirming their role as dynamic neighborhood hubs that provide young people with safe and accessible spaces to play their favorite sport. With football being the most popular game among youth, these fields have become natural gathering points for citizens and residents, beyond the formalities of clubs and age categories.

The Executive Director emphasized that through these tournaments, the Federation seeks to discover and develop new talents, foster continuous competition, and strengthen a culture of sports across all age groups. He underlined that “Sport for All” is a community-wide project that gives everyone the chance to practice their preferred sport in a safe and supportive environment.

By investing in its 16 community football fields nationwide, the Federation is turning them into inclusive sports destinations open to families of all ages. These facilities not only promote daily sports activities and walking but also provide young people with the opportunity to book fields for football matches and friendly competitions—making physical activity a sustainable way of life.
