The Qatar Sports for All Federation continues to place a strong focus on women’s sports through the programs and events it organizes in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth. Its annual calendar this year includes more than 850 diverse events aimed at attracting the largest possible number of community members to participate in sports activities.

Most Sports for All events, particularly running races, have witnessed remarkable participation from women, girls, and young children from the age of three up to women over the age of forty, in addition to dedicated championships and races.

Women’s and girls’ Sports for All activities include a variety of programs, such as fitness training sessions for girls aged 6 to 11, held every Thursday at Al Luqta Park. Activities dedicated to senior women aged 55 to 70 also continue, with Ihsan Center in Izghawa hosting light and simple fitness training sessions on Tuesday morning. These sessions aim to encourage senior women to maintain regular physical activity and support an active lifestyle.

The Qatar Sports for All Federation has announced the organization of a larger number of women’s sports events as part of the Sports for All Summer Program 2026, which will begin at the end of the current month. The summer program includes around 38 women’s sports championships, including the prominent Women’s Evening event held at Education City in cooperation with Qatar Foundation.

The event includes fitness exercises, stretching sessions, walking on the Education City Stadium track, as well as team sports such as badminton, volleyball, and basketball. The federation also announced, for the first time, the introduction of swimming training sessions in cooperation with Al Reyada Girls Center.

The Aspire Indoor Track also hosts one of the four rounds of the Women’s Track Running Series every Saturday morning during June, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen women’s participation in sports and community activities.

The races include women aged 17 and above, young girls aged 7 to 17, and children aged 3 to 6 years. This diversity aims to provide opportunities for the largest possible number of participants across different age groups.

Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, emphasized the federation’s commitment to continuing women’s sports activities held at Education City and other facilities dedicated to women’s sports, including Al Luqta Park, which hosts women’s training sessions as part of the 365 Days of Activity Program.

Al Dosari explained that these events reflect the federation’s efforts to attract the largest possible number of participants through diverse activities that provide privacy, comfort, and safety for women and girls.

He added that women’s sports events have become an important platform within the Sports for All agenda, encouraging women and their daughters to participate in physical activities while maintaining the highest standards of organization and respecting women’s needs and preferences.
