Lusail International Circuit hosted the Run Through Qatar running race, which saw the participation of 1,350 male and female runners from various age groups, including 400 women and girls. The race was organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation and took place last Saturday morning in cooperation with Run Through.
The race started at 7:00 a.m. and concluded after several hours of exciting competition, featuring strong races across all age categories. Participation was open to everyone, with categories ranging from children aged 3 to 11, juniors aged 12 to 15, youth aged 16 to 18, adults from 18 to 55, as well as senior participants aged 55 to 70.
The event witnessed intense competition among participants of different ages and categories, who enjoyed memorable and enjoyable moments of sporting competition within a community-based event organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation in coordination and cooperation with various entities in the country. This reflects the Federation’s commitment to providing a wide diversity of activities that cater to all aspirations and encourage broad community engagement. This was clearly demonstrated by the large number of runners who attended Lusail International Circuit and took part in the race, one of whose key objectives is to encourage greater involvement in community sports activities.
Following the conclusion of the competitions, winners in the various race categories were honored, in addition to motivating and recognizing those who completed the distances, encouraging them to continue participating in future rounds and specialized race series organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, whether independently or in cooperation with other entities concerned with community sports and various state institutions.
The Qatar Sports for All Federation, through its Executive Director Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, affirmed that the Federation seeks to engage more members of the community and welcomes everyone, as this contributes to promoting a healthy lifestyle and reducing the risks associated with modern life centered around technology. The Federation also works to increase the number of hours dedicated to physical activity. Al Dossary concluded by praising the large turnout at the Lusail International Circuit race, emphasizing that it is a strong and genuine indicator of the growing community response to participation in sports events day after day.
