The events of the second edition of the Track Races series, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, took place on the indoor Aspire track last Friday morning with the anticipated strong community response. The event saw wide participation from various age groups and strong family attendance. The races were held in a lively and energetic sporting and recreational atmosphere.

Race categories varied in duration: 15 and 30 minutes for adults aged 17 and above, 10 minutes for youth aged 7 to 17, and 5-minute races for children aged 3 to 6.

In the men’s 10-minute race, John Isaac took first place in the intermediate category, Shadi Abu Dhaki led the youth category, and Nico Ramos topped the beginners. In the 15-minute race, Kelvin Monatero won first place in the open category, while Saleh Al-Qahtani topped the masters. In the 30-minute race, Ronald Amomin won the open category, with Mohammed Mahfouz leading the masters. The 5-minute children’s race saw Hamad Al-Nabit finish first, followed by Zain Salim in second, and Jack Salisbury in third.

In the women’s races, the 10-minute category was won by Ghada Faisal in the intermediate group, with Sirin Abu Dhaki leading the youth, and Ruya Masoud topping the beginners. In the 15-minute race, Olina Tina took first place in the open category, and Nadine Elinier led the masters. In the 30-minute race, Megan O’Connor triumphed in the open category, with Sandra Halouz winning the masters. The 5-minute children’s race was won by Edison Leon, followed by Sheikha Abdullah in second, and Ariza Sangla in third.
