A number of public parks are witnessing the continuation of sports activities and fitness sessions organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth. These activities coincide with the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace through the “365 Days of Activity” program, which welcomes participation from both men and women.
Al Luqta Park hosts women’s training sessions daily from 5:00 to 6:00 PM in a private and safe environment, while Aspire Park, Al Rayyan Park, and Al Gharafa Park (air-conditioned) host men’s sessions from 4:45 to 5:45 PM. The sessions are supervised by a group of specialized male and female trainers. Participants are also required to fully adhere to precautionary measures and safety standards approved by the Ministry of Interior to ensure a safe and motivating environment to practice sports.
These activities aim to attract the widest possible segment of society, highlight the vital role of sport in driving social change, support sustainable development goals, and promote values of coexistence and peace by bringing together individuals and communities from different nationalities. The events held in public parks include a variety of sports and physical activities such as fitness training, competitive challenges, push-ups, long jump, ball throwing, and balance and flexibility exercises.
