Al-Rayyan Park’s green field hosted a new round of the “Sports for All” Fitness Championship, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The event included various sports competitions and witnessed wide participation, reflecting the level of community engagement with open sports activities for all, which aim to establish the concept of making sports a lifestyle in society.
The competitions began at 4:00 PM and continued for one hour, with quality participation from various age groups through three physical challenges held under the supervision of specialized trainers from Sports for All. These challenges started with a strength competition by throwing a 5 kg iron ball for the longest distance, followed by a 100-meter sprint on an open track, and finally an endurance challenge, long jump, push-ups, balance, and flexibility exercises. Participants also tested their fitness in a plank exercise for the longest duration. The event concluded with the awarding of colorful medals and material prizes to the winners, while all participants were honored to encourage continuity.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, expressed his appreciation for the level of community response to the sports events and activities organized by the federation.
