The activities of the “Sports for All” Autumn Camp for children have begun at Lusail Sports Hall, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, amid a distinguished family presence and an atmosphere full of vitality and fun. The diverse sports and recreational activities at the camp will continue daily until the end of the current month, accommodating children aged 6 to 12 years during the current school holiday.

The camp offers a comprehensive sports and recreational program for children, combining sports, entertainment, and learning. It includes speed, strength, stretching, and flexibility exercises, in addition to group games and mini football matches, Muay Thai self-defense training, table tennis, muscle strengthening and balance programs, as well as various recreational activities and games aimed at developing children’s abilities and refining their skills in a safe environment with enjoyable segments specifically designed for them. The camp activities will continue over a comprehensive week-long program.

The first and second days of the camp were characterized by lively and interactive atmospheres, with the participation of 140 children, under significant family engagement that highlights the role of the family in fostering a love of sports among the young. This family involvement represents a model of community cooperation in promoting healthy lifestyles and motivating all segments of society, particularly children, to engage in sports and physical activity within this safe educational environment, which also includes some recreational activities.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, stated that the “Sports for All” Autumn Camp for children is an initiative aimed at encouraging students to continue participating in physical activities during the school holiday. This contributes to developing their physical and mental abilities, boosting self-confidence, and fostering a desire for positive competition, while also making productive use of free time. He noted that the camp is witnessing large attendance and distinguished participation, offering an integrated experience that combines diverse sports activities with attractive recreational events.

Al-Dosari added that the camp’s great variety makes it an ideal platform for spending the school holiday in a way that combines benefit and entertainment, leaving a positive impact on the children. The activities see increasing participation day by day, reflecting the success of the idea and the community’s response in achieving its educational, moral, and health objectives. The camp also develops a sense of teamwork and discipline among the young participants, leaving a lasting positive impact and contributing to raising stronger, more energetic, and healthier generations.

The Executive Director emphasized that the Federation continues its efforts to launch more initiatives aimed at embedding a sports culture among all members of society as a lifestyle, while enhancing community partnerships with families to create a vibrant and healthy sports environment that motivates everyone to engage in sports.
