The Qatar Sports for All Federation, a partner of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is participating in the Spring Program organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for male and female school students during the mid-year school break. The program runs from December 22 to 31, daily from Sunday to Thursday, between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. It benefits students from government schools in Qatar, in addition to Qatari students enrolled in private schools, aged 6 to 18 years.

The Spring Program is being held in six schools—three for boys and three for girls. The participation of the Sports for All Federation aims to raise awareness of the importance of sport and to increase the number of students practicing physical activity, particularly among school students. This is achieved through organizing a variety of daily sports activities supervised by qualified male and female coaches within the six host schools. The program includes a range of sports and recreational activities, as well as specialized competitions, such as self-defense sessions featuring Muay Thai training, mini sports games, fitness exercises, and flexibility and balance drills, all designed to energize students and encourage them to engage in regular physical activity due to its many benefits and positive impact on overall health.

The federation’s continued participation in the various seasonal programs organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education reflects the strong cooperation between the two entities through numerous activities, events, and extracurricular programs. These initiatives contribute to enriching efforts aimed at supporting students and activating physical activity among this age group by integrating sport as part of their daily lives. The Sports for All Federation is keen to take part in school-based sports activities out of its belief in the importance of helping to build new generations who recognize the value of physical and athletic activity and understand its role in improving quality of life—not only at the individual level, but across society as a whole—aligned with the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Sports and Youth to promote a culture of sport within the community.

In this regard, Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in serving the community. He highlighted the need to balance education and intellectual development with sport, which enhances physical development and strengthens the bodies of young people during their growth stages. He added that the federation places great importance on participating in such seasonal programs and school holidays to help fill students’ free time. The federation also regularly conducts field visits to schools to organize sports and recreational activities, within a framework of cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
