The activities of the “Sport for All” Summer Camp for Children 2026 resume this morning at Lusail Sports Hall. The camp is organized by the Qatar Sports For All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth for boys and girls in the (7–11) age group, through the activities of the second round of the camp, which begins today and continues for two weeks from Monday to Thursday. The activities will continue over a period of eight weeks, divided into four rounds, during which a range of sports activities, educational, awareness and recreational programmes will be delivered to develop children’s physical and mental skills, promote the spirit of cooperation and teamwork, and encourage them to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle during the summer vacation.

The second round of the children’s summer camp gets underway with a comprehensive daily programme combining sport, learning and recreation. It includes speed and strength exercises, movement games, mini football matches, Muay Thai self-defense training, stretching, flexibility and balance exercises, and table tennis. These sports and physical activities are accompanied by a package of educational and awareness programmes aimed at developing children’s character, enhancing their social skills, improving their cognitive abilities, helping them communicate with others, strengthening their ability to integrate into teamwork within the groups formed during the camp from among the participants, and encouraging them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports For All Federation, said that the “Sport for All” Summer Camp represents an important summer destination for children and families within the framework of the “Sport for All Summer 2026” programme, through its diverse sports, educational and recreational programmes aimed at making productive use of leisure time for this age group. He stressed that the positive interaction and strong participation in the camp reflect the community’s confidence in the summer programmes offered by the Federation, through which a variety of activities combining physical and mental benefits are delivered. He added that this carefully designed combination enhances the value of the camp and its benefits for families and their children, leading to increased participation and providing a genuine indication of the growing community awareness of the importance of practicing sports for children and the need to make good use of the summer vacation by engaging in these beneficial activities that promote physical activity and foster positive behavior.

The “Sport for All” Summer Camp aims to make the summer vacation a period full of physical activity and vitality for this age group and to prevent children from falling victim to the negative effects of prolonged use of electronic devices. In addition to sports activities, the camp offers educational programmes and introductory seminars that provide children with essential knowledge for their daily lives. The first round witnessed the participation of 640 boys and girls, while many parents continue to attend the camp’s activities to encourage their sons and daughters to participate, thereby contributing to strengthening the sporting and family atmosphere at the camp, which has become a sporting, educational and recreational gathering for children during the summer vacation.
