The Indoor Football Championship kicks off this afternoon, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in cooperation with Simaisma and Al Daayen Youth Center. The tournament, designed for youth aged 15 to 25, is part of the six final competitions of the Summer Sport for All 2025 program. Spanning eight weeks over four consecutive phases, the program offered a wide variety of activities in sports halls, club fields, youth centers, public parks, and schools.

This year’s Summer Sport for All 2025 involved nearly 28 partners from ministries, institutions, and organizations—showcasing a unique model of community collaboration aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging all members of society, especially children, to take part in sports within a safe and engaging environment during the summer break.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, highlighted the success of the summer program in attracting large numbers of children and youth. He noted that the diverse activities—ranging from Sport for All Camps, Learn to Swim, Muay Thai martial arts and self-defense training, track races, to the final tournaments in football, volleyball, handball, tennis, billiards, and chess—have significantly developed participants’ skills, uncovered new talents, and helped meet their aspirations.

Public parks also came alive under the 365 Days of Activity initiative, turning into open sports arenas full of energy, where families enthusiastically joined training sessions designed to include men, women, and people of all ages.

Al-Dosari emphasized that Summer Sport for All 2025 achieved its goal of creating a meaningful summer experience that combines fun with learning, leaving a lasting positive impact on participants. He noted the growing turnout and interaction from children and families each day, enjoying a lively yet disciplined atmosphere that encourages both learning and participation in daily sports and recreational activities. He added that the final tournaments were the perfect conclusion to an exceptional summer, blending sports entertainment with health education, and offering a comprehensive experience that meets the needs of different groups while supporting the community’s vision of raising healthier, more active generations.

He further stressed that ongoing cooperation with partners, along with strong family engagement and parental support, has been key to the program’s remarkable success.

Earlier this week, the Indoor Volleyball Championship took place on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., featuring exciting competition among participating teams and attracting a large audience of parents and friends. The event reflected the spirit of enthusiasm, teamwork, and fair play, while also contributing to the discovery of talented players and the promotion of positive sporting values.
