The Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, has announced the opening of registration for the 13th edition of the Community Football Tournament, which will be held at the Al-Nuaija field. The tournament comes right after the conclusion of the Summer Sport for All 2025 program and continues the federation’s calendar of competitions and activities that keep sports alive throughout the year.

Held regularly every two months, the Community Football Tournaments have become a popular destination for football enthusiasts, maintaining a vibrant spirit of competition across the country. The federation is also keen to host the tournaments in different areas, giving young Qataris the opportunity to participate widely. The championship draws strong interest, often featuring more than 20 youth teams competing in a knockout format for players aged 16 and above.

As part of its efforts to expand sports participation and maximize the use of facilities, the federation announced the readiness of Umm Salal, Al-Aziziya, and Khalifa City community fields after completing maintenance and upgrades. These join a network of 16 community fields across the country, designed to provide safe and attractive spaces for football players and walkers alike, accessible through the Sport for All app.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, confirmed that maintenance and renewal works at several fields have been completed, making them ready to host youth bookings and upcoming football tournaments. He emphasized that these facilities play a vital role in promoting a culture of sports, offering safe and engaging spaces for young people, and providing amateur players with opportunities to take part in various activities. He noted that the fields attract over 3,000 players monthly, including government institutions and social clubs.

Al-Dosari highlighted that the return of the Community Football Tournaments—with the 14th edition set to take place at the Al-Nuaija field—marks a continuation of community engagement after the summer program. He added that these events encourage people to adopt sports as a lifestyle, reflecting values of energy and vitality.

He also pointed out that football, as the most popular sport among youth, has been the driving force behind the success of the community fields. By naming tournaments after different neighborhoods, the federation has created a unifying platform that brings together citizens and residents of all ages, beyond the limitations of club structures and age categories.

Through these tournaments, the federation aims to spread the culture of sports and strengthen the principle of “Sport for All”, while motivating all age groups to remain active and practice football regularly. This, he explained, also helps in discovering promising talents and nurturing their skills through continuous competition.

The 16 community fields spread across the country have become welcoming spaces for families of all ages to practice sports daily. They not only provide football fans with the opportunity to book pitches and organize friendly matches, but also allow walking enthusiasts to enjoy a safe and accessible environment for their daily exercise.
