The student, Walid Muhammad Abd al-Salam al-Bahlouli, the young spokesman for the Barzan Youth Center affiliated to the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, confirmed that cooperation with youth centers on the occasion of Arab Youth Day aims to accomplish a number of activities, programs and sports competitions to spread the benefit to the largest number of young people affiliated with these centers. In addition, the participation in these activities is an opportunity for acquaintance between the students affiliated with these centers. During his talk to our Life program on Qatar TV, the student Al-Bahlouli explained that the importance of celebrating Arab Youth Day lies in identifying the most important concerns of youth in order to reach possible solutions to the challenges facing them, and to choose events and activities commensurate with their scientific and cultural skills and abilities. Concerning the organization of “Horizons and Challenges” competitions for the celebration of the Arab Youth Day, Al-Bahlouli stressed the efforts made by His Excellency Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Director of the Barzan Youth Center and his main role in the successful organization of these competitions by providing all the requirements and capabilities necessary for their success, in addition to his continuous efforts to support the center and its activities, adding that the competitions included the “Challenge and Strength” competition, which is a sports competition that contains a set of barriers and equipment that the competitor completes and overcomes as quickly as possible so that the player does some exercises on the rowing machine and then moves on the rolling rubber wheels, then the stage of throwing weights behind the barriers, then the penultimate stage by passing under the youth, and in the final stage, the player carries the flag of the State of Qatar and places it on the line of arrival. The young spokesman for the Barzan Youth Center said that all the various activities and programs during the celebration of the Arab Youth Day contribute to refining the talents of youth cadres to reach the appropriate activities that contribute to enhancing their scientific and cultural skills and improving their capabilities in the fields in which they excel. He explained that the Barzan Youth Center cares about all activities and programs that urge young people to exercise and avoid overweight, as these programs pay attention to the health of young people through the programs offered by the center to educate young people about healthy food, attention to their physical fitness and healthy weight to prevent serious diseases, in addition to other valuable recreational programs.
