The Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the representation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, announced the organization of six mini tournaments to conclude the Summer Sports for All 2025 program, which had been extended for an additional two weeks in response to parents’ requests and the strong turnout of children and youth. The program, which began on June 23, featured a wide range of sporting, recreational, and educational activities that were well received by participants of all age groups, taking place across sports halls, playgrounds, swimming pools, youth centers, and public parks.

Leading the final tournaments was the Physical Fitness Championship held at Al Rayyan Park with the participation of clubs such as Al Ahli, Al Arabi, Al Sadd, Al Rayyan and Al Khor in addition to youth centers in Birzane and Al Dhakira. The competitions, which ran from August 16 to 28, included three physical challenges—a medicine ball throw, a push-up contest, and a 100-meter sprint—with winners receiving medals and prizes to encourage continuous participation in sports. The closing events also featured the Billiards Championship for juniors from August 12 to 14, a football tournament on August 16 and 17, a table tennis tournament at Lusail Sports Hall on August 18 and 19, a volleyball championship on August 25, and a Muay Thai competition.

These tournaments formed part of the eight-week Summer Sports for All 2025 program, which was implemented over four stages in cooperation with 28 entities including ministries, schools and institutions, with the aim of promoting healthy lifestyles, motivating the community to engage in physical activity, and providing a safe and enjoyable environment throughout the summer break. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Federation, emphasized that the final tournaments reflected the program’s vision of offering comprehensive experiences that combine sports, fitness, and recreation. He added that the summer activities witnessed growing interaction and wide community participation, in line with the Ministry’s strategic vision to promote a culture of sports and wellness among youth, highlighting that these events provided a unique mix of sports, education, and entertainment that appealed strongly to children and encouraged them to adopt healthy habits and actively participate in group activities.
