Yesterday, the General Assembly of Al-Arabi Club was held at the club’s headquarters, during which Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al Thani was elected unopposed as the club’s president for the 2024–2028 term.

This decision was made during the General Assembly meeting, which took place after reaching the legal quorum, with the presence of club members and representatives from the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The assembly officially announced the continuation of Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd for another four years, along with Mohammed Jassim Al-Kuwari as vice president, in order to maintain stability and strive for new achievements.

His Excellency Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al Thani expressed his deep gratitude for the trust placed in him by the General Assembly members, confirming his commitment to hard work to achieve further successes and develop the club across various sports. Mohammed Jassim Al-Kuwari also noted that this confidence reflects the board’s efforts in achieving remarkable accomplishments, and he pledged to continue enhancing the club’s standing and achieving more championships.

During the General Assembly, the president’s report on the club’s activities over the past year was discussed, along with the work programs and plan for the new season. The new budget for the upcoming year was also approved. Several topics were debated, and related inquiries were addressed.

The assembly was attended by 74 members, completing the legal quorum. General Assembly members praised the current board’s achievements, which included winning 33 championships across various sports over the past four years. The meeting also saw a vote for the members of the Membership and Election Committee, with the following five being elected: Fahd Abdullah Al-Mal, Jassim Ibrahim Al-Mohammedi, Khalifa Sultan Al-Hitmi, Dr. Badr Sultan Al-Rumaihi, and Khaled Al-Kuwari. The reserve list included Ahmed Al-Sayed, Mohammed Al-Obaidli, Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and Abdulaziz Al-Abidan.

The assembly also featured many discussions related to the football team, plans for developing the various teams, and the pursuit of new achievements for the club.
