In partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Lusail Sports Hall hosted the closing event of the second edition of the Women’s Running Series, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation in cooperation with Education City.

The final race, dedicated to women and girls, took place on Saturday morning, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and continuing for one hour until 10:30 a.m. The event was marked by a highly competitive and energetic atmosphere, bringing together participants from a wide range of age groups and nationalities.

More than 229 female runners took part in the competition, demonstrating the growing popularity of women’s sports initiatives and community-based fitness activities in Qatar.

Participants competed across a variety of race formats and time categories designed to accommodate different fitness levels and abilities. The challenges ranged from 5, 10, 15, and 30-minute running sessions, allowing runners to test their endurance and performance in an encouraging and supportive environment.

The Women’s Running Series forms part of the Qatar Sports for All Federation’s ongoing efforts to promote physical activity among women and girls, encourage healthy lifestyles, and provide inclusive sporting opportunities that support community engagement and well-being. The strong turnout and enthusiastic participation in the second edition further highlight the increasing interest in recreational and competitive sports among women in Qatar.
