The second edition of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM 2026) Summer Programme, organized by the Qatar Scientific Club, affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in cooperation with the Qatar Society of Engineers, got underway yesterday and will continue until July 29, 2026. The programme targets male and female students aged between 14 and 16 years.

The programme is being held for the second consecutive year as part of the strategic partnership between the two entities and reflects their commitment to preparing a generation equipped with the scientific, technological and engineering skills required to meet the demands of the future, in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 in building a knowledge-based economy.

The programme offers an integrated educational experience that combines theoretical learning with practical application through specialized workshops, engineering challenges and interactive activities in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, contributing to the development of critical and creative thinking, teamwork and problem-solving skills, while introducing participants to the latest applications of technology and artificial intelligence and their role in supporting sustainable development.

The programme seeks to promote a culture of science and engineering among young people, foster the spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship, and develop professional values and Islamic identity while linking them to creativity and civilizational development.

In this regard, Eng. Sheikha Al Sadah, Programme Officer at the Qatar Scientific Club, said: “STEM 2026 represents one of the flagship initiatives through which the Qatar Scientific Club fulfils its mission of empowering young people to acquire future skills, particularly in the fields of science, engineering, technology and artificial intelligence.”

For his part, Eng. Saeed Al Muhannadi, member of the Qatar Society of Engineers and General Coordinator of the programme, affirmed that organizing the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Summer Programme for the second consecutive year reflects the success of the initiative and the importance of partnership between national institutions in preparing the engineering talents of the future.
