Doha, July 21, 2026:

The State of Qatar, represented by Qatar’s United Nations Youth Delegates, Munira Fahad Al Attiyah and Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, participated in the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, with the broad participation of representatives of Member States, international organizations, experts and decision-makers.

This participation comes within the framework of the State of Qatar’s commitment to empowering young people and strengthening their presence in international forums, stemming from its belief in their pivotal role as partners in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and their effective contribution to discussing global issues and shaping future solutions.

Qatar’s UN Youth Delegates participated in a number of the Forum’s sessions and side events, which addressed the key challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, in addition to exchanging expertise and perspectives with their counterparts from around the world, thereby enhancing international youth dialogue and opening new horizons for cooperation and partnerships.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth’s participation in the Forum reflects its commitment to continuing to support and empower young people and strengthen their presence in regional and international forums, in line with the State’s approach to investing in youth potential, developing their capabilities, and consolidating their role as active partners in achieving sustainable development.
