Under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Qatar Youth Hostels, in partnership with the Studio 5 initiative, concluded the “Your Game is My Idea” hackathon, which targeted the age group of 13 to 17 years, with the participation of 22 male and female participants. The event lasted for five days, from September 14 to 18, 2025.

This exceptional edition witnessed diverse participation and creative ideas from the participants, aimed at developing innovative tourism- and heritage-themed games to enhance the culture of the tourism and technology sectors.

On the first day, the Studio 5 team divided participants into working groups and conducted a brainstorming session to generate ideas for cultural and heritage-based games. On the second day, Studio 5 presented an introduction to game mechanics and programming concepts.

By the third day, the teams were able to understand the environment of game creation and design, including character development. On the fourth day, the participating teams entered the game programming phase, where they began coding their approved game ideas according to each team’s unique approach.
