Under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the second edition of the International Forum, organized by Qatar Youth Hostels in partnership with UNICEF, was launched today at the Ministry of Sports and Youth headquarters.

This year’s edition, running until November 7, includes the participation of 22 young men and women from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Italy, Sudan, Morocco, Bahrain, Egypt, and Palestine. The participants aim to develop recommendations for addressing the issue of climate change and its impacts on the world.

In this regard, Mr. Abdullah Saeed, Head of the Public Relations and Communications Department at Qatar Youth Hostels, stated that the organizing team worked hard to make this an exceptional edition, reflecting Qatar Youth Hostels’ commitment to supporting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by integrating them into their annual activities and programs. He noted that the forum seeks to empower SDGs and reinforce environmental care.

The forum includes several workshops with participation from various public and private entities, such as the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, the Ministry of Municipality, the National Planning Council, Qatar University, the International Youth Hostel Federation, Aqua Sports Company, and Al-Hidaya School for Special Needs Boys in Al-Messila.

Additionally, the forum organizes sightseeing tours for the participating delegations to introduce them to Qatar’s landmarks and historical, cultural, and tourist sites. Planned visits include the National Museum of Qatar, Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art, a dhow boat cruise, and the Flag Plaza at the Old Doha Port.
