In partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the second round of the 2026 Track Race Series, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, achieved another success at the Aspire Indoor Running Track, attracting 426 male and female participants from various age groups.
The race was held in a remarkable family-friendly atmosphere, with strong participation from men, women, children, and senior citizens, reflecting the growing interest in Sports for All running events, which provide an exceptional environment and an ideal setting for physical activity.
The second round competitions were held according to specific time-based categories. Participants aged 17 and above competed in races lasting between 15 and 30 minutes, while juniors aged 7 to 17 participated in 10-minute races. A 5-minute running competition was organized for children aged 3 to 6 years.
The race system is based on achieving the highest number of laps within the allocated time for each category, providing equal opportunities for all participants to compete and showcase their physical abilities.
The Aspire Indoor Track Running Series consists of four rounds, with two rounds already completed and two remaining rounds scheduled during the current month of June. The series aims to provide opportunities for different segments of society to participate in a sporting experience that promotes active and healthy lifestyles.
Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, praised the strong turnout witnessed during the second round, with 426 participants of different ages taking part, alongside the notable family presence that added a special atmosphere to the competitions.
He highlighted that this reflects the success of the federation’s goal of enhancing community participation and making sports a daily activity that brings families together. He added that the success of the series demonstrates its ability to reach different segments of society and encourage regular physical activity.
Al Dosari explained that the track races provide an ideal and safe environment for running during the summer season, as they are held inside a modern, air-conditioned sports facility equipped to the highest standards. This helps maintain sporting activity throughout the year and encourages more individuals and families to participate in Sports for All events.
He emphasized that the Qatar Sports for All Federation continues to diversify its programs and sporting initiatives to meet the needs of different age groups, noting that registration remains open for upcoming rounds through the Sports for All application. He also invited everyone to take advantage of the wide and diverse calendar of events.
The Sports for All Track Race Series is part of the community events and championships organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation throughout the year. It reflects the federation’s efforts to expand participation in sports and physical activity, promote a culture of sports as a lifestyle, and support the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s vision of building a healthier and more active society.
