In partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Qatar Sports for All Federation organized the third edition of the global “One Run for All” Half Marathon, held at Lusail International Circuit in cooperation with Ajur Sports Events.
The race took place at 9:30 pm on 24 May and attracted the participation of more than 2,500 male and female runners.
During a press conference held at Al Sadaf Hall in Lusail Sports Arena, Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, announced the details of the event, which was being staged in Qatar for the third time.
Al Dosari emphasized that Doha was once again hosting one of the world’s largest half-marathon events, held simultaneously across more than 110 countries. The event brought together over 200,000 runners worldwide, including approximately 160,000 participants from Russian regions and cities and 40,000 runners from other countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, China, Brazil, Serbia, Cameroon, and Armenia.
He stated that all participants competed at the same time around the world, highlighting the unique international nature of the event and its role in promoting sports participation on a global scale.
Al Dosari also expressed pride that Doha was the first Arab capital among 16 host cities worldwide to stage this distinguished event, reflecting Qatar’s growing reputation as a leading destination for international sporting events and community-based sports initiatives.
The race forms part of the Qatar Sports for All Federation’s ongoing efforts to encourage physical activity, expand community participation in sports, and reinforce the concept of sport as a healthy and sustainable lifestyle for all members of society.
