Under the representation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the latest round of the Sports for All Fitness Championship, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, transformed the green field at Al Rayyan Park into an open arena of activity and excitement. The event brought together families in a joyful atmosphere, featuring thrilling competitions with a strong turnout from all age groups, as part of the Summer Sport for All 2025 activities aimed at engaging the entire community.
The competitions kicked off the day before yesterday at 5:00 p.m. at Al Rayyan Park and lasted for a full hour. Participants of all ages—adults and children alike—took part in three exciting physical challenges, under the supervision of professional trainers from Sports for All. These included a strength challenge, where competitors threw a 5 kg iron ball for the farthest distance, a 100-meter sprint, and endurance tests such as long jump, push-ups, balance and flexibility drills, and the “plank” exercise for the longest duration. The event concluded with awarding the winners with medals and in-kind prizes, alongside honoring all participants to encourage continuity. The championship was not only about competition but also served as a festive family sports carnival with fun-filled entertainment.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, stated that this edition witnessed wide participation from men, women, and children, with families eager to join alongside their kids and encourage them to continue practicing sports regularly and without interruption.
He pointed out that the championship is part of the federation’s wide-ranging and diverse activities, under the representation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, aiming to motivate children, youth, and adults to develop their abilities, enhance their fitness levels, and promote a culture of physical exercise.
Al-Dosari also affirmed that organizing this championship builds on the unprecedented success of Summer Sport for All 2025, which saw the participation of more than 32,000 people from all age groups across over 180 activities held at 130 locations, including sports halls, club fields, youth centers, schools, and public parks, in partnership with 27 government and private entities. The program paid special attention to children and students, within a comprehensive vision to promote community sports culture during the summer, and to encourage youth and the younger generation to participate and increase the number of people engaged in physical activity during the holiday season.
The event also complements the 365 Days of Activity program, held daily in public parks in the afternoons throughout the year. The program offers dedicated spaces for both men and women separately, providing privacy and inclusivity, and represents one of the key pillars supporting the continuity of community sports activities year-round.
