Lusail Sports Hall has been hosting, from yesterday morning (Monday) until next Thursday, the second week of the second round of the “Sport for All” Summer Camp for Children 2026, organized by the Qatar Sports For All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth for boys and girls aged between 7 and 11 years. The camp is being held in a lively sporting and recreational atmosphere, with children actively engaging in the daily activities and programmes, which allow them to practice a variety of sports and physical activities, including speed and strength training, movement games, football matches, table tennis, Muay Thai training to enhance self-defense skills, stretching, flexibility and balance exercises, as well as a number of competitions designed to encourage children to stay active and make positive use of the summer vacation.

The camp activities are not limited to sports, but also include a range of educational and awareness programmes aimed at developing children’s personalities and enhancing their social and cognitive skills through group and interactive activities that help build self-confidence, develop communication skills, instil the values of cooperation, discipline and commitment, and promote teamwork through the groups formed from participants in the camp’s various activities.

Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports For All Federation, affirmed that the success achieved by the “Sport for All” Summer Camp reflects the value of the activities and programmes it offers to children and its ability to meet their aspirations and expectations, while also responding to families’ desire for a safe, enjoyable and beneficial summer environment for their children. He noted that the growing turnout and active participation demonstrate that the camp is achieving its objectives by providing an integrated experience that combines sport, recreation and learning, giving children the opportunity to spend their summer vacation in a beneficial way.

The Executive Director of the Qatar Sports For All Federation said that the camp aims to provide children with a summer vacation full of activity and vitality by offering sporting and recreational alternatives that encourage physical activity. He explained that the camp’s agenda is not limited to sports activities, but also includes a range of educational activities, awareness programmes and introductory seminars that open new horizons for children and help them acquire skills and experiences that benefit them in their daily lives. Al Dosari added that the attendance of parents and their commitment to encouraging their sons and daughters to participate is an important factor in the camp’s success, contributing to the sporting and family atmosphere and making the summer camp a family gathering that provides children with an environment combining sport, education and recreation while offering them a distinctive summer experience.

The “Sport for All” Summer Camp is a key pillar of the “Sport for All Summer 2026” programme, which features a wide and diverse range of sports, awareness and recreational programmes and activities through which the Federation seeks to make productive use of children’s leisure time by encouraging them to practice sports and physical activity.
