The Qatar Scientific Club, affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, organized several important activities on the sidelines of the 9th edition of Qatar Sustainability Week. The event aims to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of the key initiatives launched by the club was a special program for refugee children from Gaza, now living in their second home, Qatar. The program included an interactive day centered on the UN’s SDGs.
In this regard, Ms. Iman Al-Obaidi, Head of Public Relations and Community Engagement at the Qatar Scientific Club, stated that these activities aim to highlight the 17 SDGs established by the United Nations in 2015, which serve as a comprehensive framework for addressing the environmental, economic, and social challenges facing the world today.
