Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, in collaboration with the Young Entrepreneurs Club (YEC) affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, today launched the “QSTP × YEC” Summer Camp 2026.

The camp’s first session brought together 124 trainees from across the country, with females accounting for 60 percent of participants. The attendees included university students, recent graduates, aspiring entrepreneurs and individuals interested in the technology sector, taking part in a specialized practical training program focused on technology and startup development, aimed at empowering participants to transform their innovative ideas into promising ventures.

The camp will run from July 27 to August 19 and comprises 13 training sessions covering the various stages of building startups, beginning with an introduction to the entrepreneurial ecosystem and methods for identifying problems worth solving, followed by business model development and revenue streams, and concluding with systematically evaluating and testing ideas.

Subsequent sessions will also cover how investors assess investment opportunities, Qatar’s deep technology ecosystem, and ways to build entrepreneurial ventures with measurable impact, in addition to product development, market entry strategies, storytelling skills, and public pitching. The program will conclude with an introduction to QSTP’s Business Incubation Programme and a mock pitch session in preparation for the final hackathon.

The sessions will be delivered by a distinguished group of founders, investors and industry experts representing several organizations, including “Alchemist Doha”, “TeKnowledge”, “QLUB”, “Ibtechar”, and “HostX”, in addition to QSTP’s Programs Team.

The program also includes an introductory tour of the QSTP ecosystem and a mock pitching day in preparation for the final hackathon, scheduled for August 20 and 21, during which participating teams will pitch their startup ideas before a judging panel. The closing session will highlight the role of artificial intelligence in developing startups and accelerating their growth.

Engineer Ahmed Al Saeed, Business Development Manager at Qatar Science & Technology Park, affirmed that the summer camp continues each year to reveal the scale of promising talent in need of a supportive environment. He noted that QSTP is committed to providing participants with the tools, mentorship and access to Qatar’s innovation ecosystem, enabling them to transform their ideas into viable ventures.

For his part, Mr. Abdulrahman Al Emadi, Vice President of the Young Entrepreneurs Club, explained that the camp comes as part of the Club’s efforts to empower youth and equip them with the practical skills and tools needed to transform their innovative ideas into scalable businesses. He pointed out that the partnership with Qatar Science & Technology Park provides participants with a comprehensive experience that combines knowledge, practical application and engagement with industry experts.

Al Emadi added that, upon completing the camp, participants will be introduced to the pathway of QSTP’s Business Incubation Programme, which enables them to continue developing their entrepreneurial ventures after completing the program.
