As part of its awareness programs, the Youth Department at Qatar Sports Club, under the patronage of the Department of Youth Centers and Committees at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, organized an event on the importance of road safety in cooperation with the Traffic Awareness Department of the General Directorate of Traffic. First Lieutenant Mishaal Ali Hamad delivered a lecture addressing traffic etiquette and the importance of promoting traffic awareness, stressing that awareness is one of the most effective means of reducing traffic violations, accidents, and the resulting fatalities and injuries by fostering a culture of compliance among road users. He explained that awareness campaigns are implemented according to carefully designed plans targeting specific groups to bring about positive changes in traffic behavior, noting that the Department continues to organize lectures at schools, universities, sports clubs and youth centers. He also called on parents to instil proper road safety behavior in their children, emphasizing the importance of wearing seat belts and not allowing children to sit in the front passenger seat. For his part, Mr. Mohammed Abdulrahim Al Hidos praised the efforts of the Traffic Awareness Department in promoting community awareness.
