Doha, 1 June 2026 – The State of Qatar took part in the governmental ministerial meeting for the Asia and Oceania region of the World Anti-Doping Agency on anti-doping in sport (AORIM), hosted in Beijing, China, from 1 to 3 June 2026, with the participation of representatives from governments, national sports authorities, and relevant organizations.

The Qatari delegation was headed by Mr. Abdulrahman bin Musallam Al-Dosari, Advisor to the Minister of Sports and Youth, as part of the country’s commitment to strengthening its active presence in international sports forums and supporting global efforts aimed at protecting the integrity of sport and promoting the principles of fairness and transparency in sporting competitions.

Mr. Al-Dosari affirmed, during his participation in the meeting, Qatar’s firm commitment to supporting international initiatives and programs aimed at combating doping, based on its belief in the importance of preserving noble sporting values. He noted that Qatar places great importance on anti-doping efforts through the development of relevant legislative frameworks and national policies, as well as strengthening awareness and education programs targeting athletes, technical staff, and administrators.

Qatar’s participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting international efforts to enhance sports integrity and to consolidating its position as an active partner in developing the global sports ecosystem, in line with its vision of building an integrated sports sector based on transparency, excellence, and sustainability.
