The events of “Marrakesh – Capital of Youth in the Islamic World 2025” were launched with the participation of the State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Sports and Youth, alongside nearly 200 young men and women from over 48 member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The Qatari delegation was led by Mr. Nasser Al-Jabri, Head of the Youth Work Development and Organization Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

Qatar’s participation focused on presenting the challenges faced by youth during the COVID-19 pandemic and highlighted the contributions made by young people in supporting and advancing various fields, including technology, manufacturing, and efforts led by the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Education to combat the crisis.

This presentation was part of the opening day of the Marrakesh 2025 program, which addressed the pandemic and the role of youth in responding to it.

The event, which will run until December 5, aims to create a multidimensional international space that promotes youth participation in addressing social and economic challenges in the Islamic world. It also seeks to reinforce the values of solidarity, cultural exchange, tolerance, and coexistence among different cultures.

The “Marrakesh – Capital of Youth in the Islamic World 2025” program includes a variety of intellectual, cultural, artistic, and sports activities, in addition to discussions addressing issues such as democracy, peace and security, cultural identity, and the role of youth in achieving sustainable development.
