United Nations Economic and Social Council Youth Forum 2026

The State of Qatar participated in the proceedings of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum 2026, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from April 14 to 16 under the theme: “Innovation, Unity, and Transformation: Youth Charting the Path to 2030.”

Qatar’s participation reaffirmed its strong commitment to supporting youth issues and enhancing their role as active partners in sustainable development. The Qatari delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Education Above All Foundation, and the Qatar Fund for Development.

As part of the participation, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, organized a side event titled: “From Doha to the World: Youth-Led Partnerships to Advance the Youth, Peace and Security Agenda and Accelerate the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.” The event highlighted the importance of empowering youth and strengthening their role in peacebuilding and sustainable development through impactful international partnerships.

The forum witnessed active Qatari youth engagement. Youth delegate Mohammed Al-Mannai participated in the Asian session, Ahmed Al-Ansari took part in the Arab session, and Muneera Al-Attiyah delivered an intervention in the youth mental health session, presenting national perspectives and experiences on key youth challenges at both regional and international levels.

In the closing session of the forum, the national delegation reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to continuing support for international initiatives that enhance the role of youth and solidify their position as key partners in shaping a more sustainable and inclusive future.
