The Qatar Camel Beauty Club has announced the program for the 4th edition of the Qatar Camel Festival 2025, “Jazilat Al-Ata,” which will take place over 24 days at the Camel Beauty Area in Al-Basair from January 29 to February 21, with significant participation from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The club stated that valuable prizes have been allocated for the winners across 71 races in three categories: Mughateer (19 races), Asa’il (29 races), and Majahim (23 races), with prizes distributed across various age categories including Maferid, Haqa’iq, Luqaya, Jidha’a, Thaniya, Daq, and Jal.

The prizes will include 56 luxury cars and 95 trophies to be awarded during the competition’s races, with 635 winners. Prizes will be given to the top ten positions in all races, except for the Khunjar, Shalfa, Bindiq, and Saif races, where prizes will be awarded only to the top five positions.

The prize money for the festival’s fourth edition has been increased to unprecedented amounts, with luxury cars designated for the top three positions in the Shalfa, Bindiq, and Saif races. The first-place winner of the Khunjar race will also receive a luxury car, and there will be a challenge cup race for various categories (Maferid, Haqa’iq, Luqaya, Jidha’a, Thaniya, Daq, and Jal).

In addition, financial prizes will be awarded to the top ten positions in the remaining races across all categories, starting from QR 120,000 for first place and decreasing to QR 10,000 for the tenth place.

The club has set the following registration requirements for festival participants: owners must be at least 18 years old and must commit, using any method the club deems appropriate, to adhere to the rules and regulations for participation or any health or security measures imposed by the relevant authorities in Qatar.

The club has also specified the conditions for registering camels in the festival’s races, which include the camel owner having a record with the festival, and the owner (or their agent) being present to complete the registration procedures. A payment of QR 1,200 is required for each camel to undergo the required DNA identification test, along with a decision from the camel comparison and dental committee to categorize the camel based on age and class.

Additionally, owners must swear an oath to prove ownership of the camels, and a fee of QR 500 will be charged to register the camel for individual races, as well as QR 500 for registering the camel in the “Al-Aziya Production Race” and QR 300 for registering camels for the camel races (Shalfa, Telad, and Nakhba).

The club also sets a maximum of three camels per owner in individual races and permits only one camel per owner in each category. Furthermore, camels without an electronic chip installed by the club will not be allowed to participate. Hybrid camels are not permitted in the Asa’il, Majahim, or Mughateer races, and camels from Sudan or Pakistan are prohibited from competing in hybrid Asa’il races. Sick camels or those infected with any type of fungus or contagious disease are also barred from participation, as well as male camels in the camel races.

The club has outlined many other general rules and conditions for the festival that owners must adhere to in order to avoid penalties.
