The first round of the Amateur Cup for the 2025–2026 sports season kicks off today, according to the schedule approved by the Qatar Football Association, with the participation of qualified teams divided into two groups.

The Qatar Football Association held the tournament draw last Monday at its headquarters, with the participation of eight teams that qualified based on league standings. The teams were divided into two groups of four each, in a move aimed at enhancing competition and giving teams the opportunity to showcase their technical abilities.

The first round will feature four matches at Doha Stadium. On Sunday, Laeeb will face Al Nasr, while Doha will take on Al Rumeila. The round will continue tomorrow, Monday, with two matches: Al Jasra vs. Al Shagab, and Msheireb vs. Al Riffa.
