In partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the activities of the Sports for All Summer Program 2026begin today, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation as part of an exceptional summer calendar featuring more than 90 sports, community, recreational, and awareness programs.
The program is being held with wide participation from ministries, authorities, and institutions, as part of a vision aimed at expanding sports participation, attracting different age groups, and promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles during the summer vacation.
The activities will run from 29 June until 20 August at sports clubs, youth centers, and public parks across different areas of the country through a variety of programs targeting children, youth, senior citizens, and families, contributing to the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
Cooperation continues between the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education through daily programs and activities held in four schools, targeting students aged 6 to 16 years. The activities combine sports, recreational, and educational elements aimed at utilizing free time and developing abilities.
Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, confirmed that the summer program represents one of the community initiatives organized by the federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in cooperation with several entities, as part of the Sports for All Summer Calendar 2026.
He stated that the program is considered one of the largest community sports programs due to the wide range of activities it offers to meet the needs of all age groups. He highlighted the Sports for All Summer Camp for Children, hosted at Lusail Sports Hall, as one of the main features of the summer calendar.
The camp begins today and runs throughout the week from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for boys and girls aged 7 to 11 years. It extends for eight weeks, divided into four stages, through an integrated program combining sports, awareness, and educational activities. The program includes football training, Muay Thai, speed and strength exercises, recreational games, healthy nutrition lectures, and educational workshops focused on developing personal skills and promoting teamwork, discipline, and positive behaviors.
The federation is also organizing a variety of educational programs, including Muay Thai training for children and youth aged 7 to 18, held for two hours daily from Sunday to Thursday at Al Sadd, Al Wakrah, Al Shamal, Al Ahli, Qatar, Al Sailiya, Al Rayyan, and Al Khor clubs, in addition to youth centers in Simaisma, Barzan, Al Thakhira, and Al Jumailiyah, as well as the Autism Families Platform, Yadan B Yad Center, and Eid Cultural Center.
The program also includes swimming lessons at Al Arabi Club for boys and girls aged 7 to 14 years until 6 July. Morning sessions are dedicated to girls on Saturdays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, while boys’ training sessions are held in the evening from Sunday to Wednesday.
The summer activities also feature a range of championships and specialized programs for children and youth, including the Summer Chess Program in cooperation with the Qatar Chess Federation for ages 7 to 17, football and volleyball tournaments in cooperation with Simaisma and Al Daayen Youth Center, fitness challenges at Al Jumailiyah and Al Thakhira Youth Centers, and a children’s padel program at Al Sadd Club.
As part of efforts to promote healthy lifestyles among young people, the “Your Healthy Weight” activity will be held for children in cooperation with Al Sailiya and Qatar clubs. The summer bowling program at Qatar Bowling Center will also teach participants the fundamentals of the sport, alongside competitions and training workshops for padbol for children and youth aged 7 to 17 years.
As part of the 2026 summer program, the federation, in cooperation with Qatar Foundation, is organizing a weekly women’s sports evening held every Tuesday at Education City for five weeks. The program includes 38 sports and recreational events, featuring fitness training, stretching exercises, walking on the stadium track, as well as badminton, volleyball, and basketball tournaments.
At the community level, the federation is organizing the Mall Walking Steps Challenge daily across more than eight shopping centers, covering a distance of 5,000 steps. The summer calendar also includes running events at Aspire Domeand Gym Power House, held every Friday and Saturday for four weeks, featuring indoor track races and treadmill challenges for participants aged three years and above.
The summer calendar also includes programs dedicated to senior citizens in cooperation with Ihsan Centers in Al Hilal, Katara, Izghawa, and Al Wakrah. These programs include fitness activities, archery, mental games, and health and recreational programs aimed at enhancing quality of life for this group.
The summer calendar also features the 365 Days Activity Program, which includes four programs held at Aspire Park, the air-conditioned Al Gharafa Park, Al Rayyan Park for men, and Al Luqta Park for women. The program targets participants aged 7 to 65 years through daily training sessions starting at 5:00 p.m. for one hour under the supervision of specialized coaches.
In addition, the calendar includes neighborhood sports facilities across different areas of the country, offering activities such as football and walking programs.
