Doha, July  21, 2026:

The Ministry of Sports and Youth participated in the Morocco-GCC Forum on Economic, Social Empowerment of Youth, hosted by the city of Casablanca in the Kingdom of Morocco, with the participation of a number of officials, experts and representatives of entities concerned with youth work from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Ministry’s delegation was headed by Mr. Nasser Al Jabri and included Mr. Saud Al Emadi, Mr. Abdullah Al Ajmi and Mr. Rashid Al Khulaifi. The participation came within the framework of the State of Qatar’s commitment to strengthening Gulf-Moroccan cooperation in the youth sector, developing partnerships, and exchanging expertise and best practices in areas related to the economic and social empowerment of youth, thereby contributing to expanding their opportunities to participate in development pathways.

The Forum, which served as a platform for exchanging views and expertise among participants, discussed a number of themes related to entrepreneurship and innovation, supporting youth initiatives and projects, building young people’s capacities, enhancing opportunities for their integration into economic and community activities, and reviewing a number of successful experiences and best practices in this field.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth’s participation in the Forum reflects its commitment to continuing to support and empower young people and strengthen their presence in regional and international forums, in line with the State’s approach to investing in youth potential, developing their capabilities, and consolidating their role as active partners in achieving sustainable development.
