Doha, July 21, 2026:

The Ministry of Sports and Youth, in cooperation with the Saif Al Ghariya Youth Center, organized the “You Can Do It 2026” event on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, at the Saif Al Ghariya Youth Camp, with the participation of 50 young people from youth centers and committees in the (14–18) age group.

The event programme featured a variety of sports and recreational activities, including “Tele-Match” competitions, paddling activities (Kayaking) in cooperation with the Marine Sports Center, shooting experiences in cooperation with the Sports Shooting Center, as well as football and volleyball tournaments, providing participants with the opportunity to develop their physical skills, strengthen team spirit, and gain practical experience in communication, cooperation and responsibility.

In this regard, Mr. Ahmed Al Ansari, Deputy Director of the Saif Al Ghariya Youth Center, affirmed that the “You Can Do It 2026” event embodies the vision of the Ministry of Sports and Youth to prepare a generation that possesses self-confidence and the ability to face challenges through qualitative programmes that combine learning through practice with sports and recreational activities, thereby contributing to developing young people’s personalities and refining their talents in various fields.

He pointed out that the diversity of activities featured during the event reflects the commitment to providing an integrated experience that meets participants’ interests and contributes to promoting the values of leadership, teamwork, cooperation and responsibility, as well as identifying young people’s potential and developing their skills in a safe and motivating environment. He stressed that such initiatives constitute one of the fundamental pillars in supporting empowerment of youth and strengthening their role as active partners in serving the community and contributing to the national development process.

The event forms part of the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s summer programmes, which aim to make productive use of young people’s time during the summer vacation and develop their physical and leadership capabilities through activities that combine purposeful recreation with sporting challenges, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to providing qualitative programmes that enrich young people’s time, contribute to building their capabilities, and enhance their positive participation in society, in line with the objectives of the Qatar National Youth Strategy and the State’s vision of investing in people as the cornerstone of sustainable development.
