Doha, June 6, 2026 – The Ministry of Sports and Youth organized a specialized training workshop entitled “The Art of Voice Delivery” in celebration of Gulf Youth Day, observed annually on June 6. This year’s occasion is being held under the theme “One Promising Gulf Youth”, with the participation of young men and women aged 15 to 39.

The workshop aimed to develop participants’ public speaking and presentation skills, enhance their self-confidence, and empower them to communicate their ideas and messages in a professional and impactful manner. The initiative contributes to preparing a generation of young people capable of effective communication and positive engagement across various fields.

In this context, Mr. Fawaz Abdullah Al-Mesaifri, Director of the Youth Affairs Department, emphasized that the Ministry of Sports and Youth places great importance on strengthening joint Gulf youth cooperation, stemming from its belief in the importance of integrating efforts among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states to empower young people and develop their capabilities. He noted that such initiatives contribute to unifying visions, exchanging expertise, and strengthening a shared Gulf identity among youth, thereby supporting the sustainable development journey across the region.

For his part, Mr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Head of the Youth Work Organization and Development Section, reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting and empowering Qatari youth to showcase their skills and talents across various fields by providing high-quality programs and training opportunities that enhance their potential. He highlighted the importance of leveraging all available opportunities to refine young people’s skills, strengthen their active participation in the national development process, and contribute effectively to society.

The workshop covered several key topics, including the fundamentals and skills of effective public speaking, strategies for overcoming the fear of speaking before an audience, and the importance of body language and vocal tone in capturing listeners’ attention. Participants were also introduced to the characteristics of successful speakers and methods for building a strong and influential presence during presentations and public engagements.

The workshop also featured practical and interactive exercises that provided participants with the opportunity to practice public speaking before an audience and receive constructive feedback aimed at enhancing their performance and communication abilities.

The workshop forms part of the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s ongoing efforts to invest in young people’s potential and develop their personal and leadership skills in line with the objectives of Qatar’s National Youth Policy.
