The Ministry of Sports and Youth, represented by the Youth Work Regulation and Guidance Section, today launched the “Training of Trainers” programme, which is being held from July 19 to 23, 2026. The programme aims to develop national capabilities, enhance the quality of training, and prepare qualified training professionals in accordance with the latest professional standards, thereby supporting the development of the youth sector ecosystem and promoting a culture of institutional excellence.

The programme is part of the Ministry’s qualitative initiatives to empower national competencies and develop the training system in the youth sector by preparing trainers equipped with the knowledge and skills required to design, deliver and evaluate training programmes efficiently, in line with international best practices. It also contributes to building human capital capable of keeping pace with change and achieving the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

In this regard, Mr. Fawaz Al Musaifri, Director of the Youth Affairs Department, affirmed that the programme reflects the Ministry’s commitment to investing in human capital as the cornerstone of development, noting that preparing professional trainers represents a strategic step towards improving the quality of training programmes and enhancing their impact across various sectors.

He said that the Ministry of Sports and Youth is committed to providing specialized training programmes that keep pace with the latest developments in the field of training and enable participants to acquire the scientific and practical skills necessary to transfer knowledge effectively, thereby contributing to institutional performance development, enhancing the efficiency of personnel in the youth sector, and promoting a culture of continuous learning.

For her part, Ms. Mayada Al Jabr, Project Manager of the Youth Sector Practice Guidance and Development Project, affirmed that the programme represents one of the strategic initiatives aimed at building a national pool of qualified trainers capable of leading the training process in accordance with the latest international practices, thereby contributing to the efficient transfer of knowledge and expertise and promoting a culture of professional development within youth sector institutions.

She added that the programme supports the achievement of the strategic objectives of the Youth Sector Practice Guidance and Development Project, foremost among them enhancing the efficiency of youth centers and strengthening their compliance with regulatory standards, which will have a positive impact on the quality of services and programmes provided to young people.

The programme includes a number of advanced practical modules covering the design of training programmes based on scientific methodologies, training room management, dealing with different trainee profiles, developing training packages, delivering impactful training presentations, and employing artificial intelligence applications in designing and developing training content, thereby enhancing the quality of the training process and improving its outcomes.

The programme provides participants with an integrated training experience that combines academic grounding with practical application. Participants receive intensive training in both fundamental and advanced training skills, in addition to specialized reference material and an accredited certificate qualifying them to apply best training practices in different work environments.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth continues to implement its development programmes aimed at building a more efficient and sustainable youth ecosystem, based on its belief that investing in national competencies is the foundation for developing youth work, promoting innovation, and supporting sustainable development in the State of Qatar.
