The Ministry of Sports and Youth, in collaboration with the Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), has launched the second cohort of the Estaad program in its third edition, following the success and strong turnout of the first cohort. The program is being held from September 28 to October 2, 2025, and includes participants from the Dreama Center as well as high school students, aiming to provide them with academic and career guidance to help them choose university majors and future paths aligned with their interests, capabilities, and the needs of the labor market.

The Estaad program serves as a vital platform to introduce students to local and international universities and available scholarship opportunities, while also helping them develop career networking skills to support their transition from high school to university life and future careers.

Daily training sessions are being conducted at the Multaqa (Education City Student Center), supervised by the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry and delivered by expert trainers from QCDC. The program focuses on career awareness, community service, and assisting students in aligning their academic interests with long-term aspirations.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Saad Al-Kharji, Executive Director of QCDC, said:

“Facilitating a smooth transition from high school to university is crucial for holistic development and the future success of our youth. This program is a strategic initiative that empowers students to navigate this pivotal stage with confidence and clarity. Making informed academic decisions based on personal interests and strengths lays the foundation for a successful career.”

He added:

“The program—resulting from a strong collaboration between the Ministry of Sports and Youth and QCDC—reflects both parties’ commitment to fostering partnerships with public and private entities to instill a culture of career awareness among youth and to serve the local community.”

On behalf of the Ministry, Mr. Fawaz Al-Musaifri, Director of the Youth Affairs Department, emphasized the importance of the partnership:

“The Estaad program plays a vital role in empowering Qatari youth and enhancing their capabilities in line with the Ministry’s vision to build a conscious, active generation with a strong sense of national identity. It raises awareness about the importance of choosing the right university major while equipping students with practical skills such as CV writing and crafting personal statements—preparing them to engage effectively in society and the workforce.”

The training program includes a range of core topics, such as:

  • Self-discovery and personal skill development

  • Work values and ethics

  • CV and personal statement writing

  • Exploring global universities and scholarship programs

  • Building professional networks

The launch of Estaad is part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to support Qatar’s national strategy of developing a high-quality education system that strengthens the country’s leadership at both regional and international levels. It also reflects a shared commitment between the Ministry and QCDC to invest in youth potential and prepare them to be future leaders who contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development and community service.
