The Ministry of Sports and Youth, in collaboration with the “Muallimi” platform, launched the “Obour” program today during a press conference. This initiative aims to support and empower youth, enhancing their capabilities to continue their academic journey in alignment with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

The new program seeks to increase the participation of Qatari youth in higher education by providing them with the necessary support to pass the international exams required for admission, such as the ACT, SAT, and IELTS.

The “Obour” program comprises multiple stages to establish a comprehensive support system tailored to assist Qatari youth who need help preparing for standardized tests as part of their educational and professional journey. The program will be delivered online through the “Muallimi” learning platform, enabling widespread access to beneficiaries without logistical constraints.

His Excellency Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Fahd Al Thani, Director of the “Muallimi” platform, praised the support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and its efforts to adopt such initiatives aimed at supporting and empowering Qatari youth to achieve success in their academic and professional endeavors.

Mr. Fawaz Al-Massifri, Director of Youth Affairs at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, emphasized the importance of supporting youth initiatives that contribute to developing the skills of Qatari youth. He highlighted the ministry’s commitment to providing financial and logistical support to help youth achieve their aspirations and goals. He pointed out that the ministry, as part of its responsibilities, consistently focuses on youth development by adopting and supporting numerous initiatives led by or directed towards young people, in line with the ministry’s vision to build an active and responsible generation and a community that embraces sports.

Al-Massifri noted that this collaboration represents a significant step towards empowering Qatari youth to overcome academic challenges and reach broader horizons in their educational journey.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth has called on all Qatari youth preparing for international exams and assessments to register for the program starting today through the online link available on the ministry’s social media platforms. Registration will remain open until the program reaches capacity.

The program will last for a maximum of three months, with training hours tailored to each participant’s level. Pre- and post-tests will be conducted for each participant, and the program will be delivered online, with each participant assigned a personal tutor free of charge. The Ministry of Sports and Youth will cover all costs associated with preparing the participating youth.
