His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth, has issued Ministerial Decision No. (177) of 2025 to reduce service and licensing fees issued by the Ministry. This move is aimed at supporting investment opportunities and developing the sports environment in the country, contributing to the empowerment of entrepreneurs and investors in this vital sector.
His Excellency emphasized that the decision stems from the Ministry’s commitment to supporting investors and entrepreneurs in the sports and youth sectors, and to providing an attractive and stimulating investment environment. This, he noted, will enhance the role of sports and youth as key partners in the national development process.
He further stated that this initiative aims to improve the quality and accessibility of services at reasonable costs, supporting sustainability and competitiveness. It also aligns with the country’s aspirations to build an advanced sporting community and a diversified, sustainable economy. The decision is also part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to achieve its strategic objectives, including improving sports and youth infrastructure, increasing community participation, expanding the base of sports clubs and centers, and fostering a healthy and sustainable sports culture.
The decision is expected to positively impact the growth of sports and youth activities and strengthen the economic role of the sports sector, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, which emphasizes comprehensive human, social, and economic development.
