H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth, delivered a comprehensive presentation today before the Shura Council, highlighting the key pillars of the ministry’s strategy for the 2023–2030 period. He emphasized that investing in youth represents a genuine and sustainable investment in the future of the state.
During the session, he outlined the ministry’s plans to expand youth-focused programs and initiatives, and to develop youth centers and sports clubs into environments that foster creativity and innovation. He stressed the importance of empowering Qatari youth to lead major national projects across various sectors.
The strategy presented by the minister includes modern mechanisms to enhance youth participation in decision-making, develop leadership and professional skills among recent graduates, and increase support for entrepreneurial projects and scientific innovations led by Qatari youth within an integrated system of incentives.
The minister also noted that Qatar National Vision 2030 places youth at the forefront of national priorities by providing training and educational opportunities aligned with modern demands. He praised the close cooperation with various public and private entities in implementing these ambitious goals that serve Qatar’s aspirations.
For their part, members of the Shura Council commended the ministry’s ambitious plans, emphasizing the importance of continuing efforts to ensure the global excellence of Qatari youth while preserving their national identity and values amid ongoing global changes and challenges.
