The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has announced the launch of the ‘Engineer of the Future’ program in its second edition, in collaboration with the Qatar Scientific Club and under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The program aims to introduce students to the engineering disciplines within the authority, familiarize them with its operations, and demonstrate the ways technology is employed in executing its projects.

The first day of the program included a visit by the future engineers to the development project of Lusail Sports Circuit, where students were given samples of materials used in the construction of the project. These samples were taken to the laboratory for examination.

Engineer Hamad Al-Badr, Acting Assistant Director of Building Projects Management at the Public Works Authority, expressed his delight in visiting the participants of the ‘Engineer of the Future’ program at the development project of Lusail Sports Circuit. During the visit, they learned about the project implementation steps using modern technology and the challenges encountered during its execution. They also explored ways to overcome these challenges while considering sustainability and environmental aspects throughout the project’s progress.

The second edition of the ‘Engineer of the Future’ program aims to introduce students to various engineering disciplines and fields. It provides them with opportunities to choose their engineering career paths through direct practical application at different stages of the program and within various departments of the authority. The ‘Engineer of the Future 2′ program is designed to align with students’ capabilities and potential, while stimulating their creative thinking.
