The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Sports and Youth, participated in the international conference entitled “Sports Tourism as a Driver of Sustainable Development,” hosted by the Republic of Cyprus in recent days. The conference brought together a distinguished group of officials, experts, and specialists in the fields of sport and tourism from around the world.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth delegation was headed by Eng. Abdulrahman Abdullah Hassan Al Malki, Assistant Undersecretary for Sports Affairs, who led the delegation in presenting Qatar’s most prominent experiences and best practices in developing the sports sector and enhancing its role in supporting sustainable development.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Qatari delegation held a productive meeting with officials from the Cyprus Sports Organization. Discussions focused on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, activate existing agreements between the two sides, and exchange expertise and knowledge in areas of mutual interest within the sports sector.
