The Department of Planning, Quality and Innovation in the Ministry of Sports and Youth launched a project to promote a culture of creativity “in cooperation with the Civilizational Conscience Center, the” I created ” Bida’at project”, which is an important strategic project on innovation and creativity. Workshops were organized for all departments of the Ministry with a sequential schedule that began in the first half of May and continued until the end of the current month. The workshops were presented by the trainer: Omar Shams Ismail. The project also aims to raise the awareness of the Ministry’s leaders and employees of the importance of “creative thinking” in developing work systems and methods and transforming the values of creativity and innovation into organized behavior in the Ministry and its affiliated centers.

The idea and the purpose

The idea of the project comes from the complete recognition in the importance of the values of creativity and innovation, as they are the first pillar for the development and renaissance of the system.

It is worth mentioning that values go through a journey, starting from abstract values, followed by philosophically abstract values, then adopted values, followed by procedural values, and finally protected values.

The project also contributes to consolidating the spirit of creative thinking, enhancing the dynamism of institutional production by individuals in the organization and its affiliates, and establishing dealing with other partners to complete projects.

In the workshops that were presented about the project, the employees learned about the importance of the skill, what it is, and how to build an effective skill and promote innovation by knowing how to create a creative project idea and what are the foundations around it. The workshop presenter was keen to communicate the idea of creative projects by explaining the strategy, how to build the idea from the project, and who are the beneficiaries.

Idea bank

Through the workshop, the Department of Planning, Quality and Innovation in the Ministry presented the Idea Bank portal, which is a portal for launching and presenting projects through the work teams of the departments. Through this portal, the project is presented in a smooth and easy way. The Planning, Quality and Innovation Department urged all employees to submit their project ideas to measure their feasibility and purpose, and to study their implementation on the ground in the Ministry in the future.

Mrs. Jawaher Al-Sulaiti (Project Manager for Promoting a Culture of Creativity and Innovation) at the Ministry of Sports and Youth stated that we adopt the value of creativity and innovation as one of its institutional values to achieve its vision, hence the importance of this project to reflect these values on the ground and promote thinking in creative ways in developing work procedures and finding successful solutions to face challenges .

I believe that the impact is clear and tangible in principle, as the enthusiasm of the employees in the workshop made me feel that there are creative and important ideas that will be launched by them soon and see the light.

A creative workshop was a fruitful workshop, and it is considered a dismantling of the ideas lingering in my mind and the minds of my colleagues, and a modern session in which we exchanged creative ideas, for administrative development in particular and the Ministry in general.

Regarding the standards set in the workshop, they were clear, simplified, and close to us as trainees, and new examples that are very similar to our reality in the Ministry as employees, and how to study the problems we face and solve them in the right way, through reliable theories and studies that we can adopt in the future.

For me, I take workshops and courses every once in a while to develop myself, but this workshop came without anything to offer it and came to me “as a golden opportunity because I benefited from new things and supported me by presenting my ideas in the Idea Bank so that I would be one of the people who contributed to the development of the Ministry for the better in the future.”
