His Excellency Engineer Yasser Al-Jamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, emphasized that youth are the backbone of the nation and the cornerstone of sustainable development. He noted that the ministry is diligently working to provide an environment that enables young people to achieve their ambitions and develop their skills across various fields.

He made these remarks during his closing speech at the Gulf Youth Summit, hosted by the Qatar Debates Center in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Youth and Msheireb Museums. The event was attended by Her Excellency Mrs. Lolwah bint Rashid Al-Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education.

His Excellency highlighted that the challenges facing youth today require collaboration, solidarity, and teamwork to achieve common goals.

He expressed his hope that the summit would contribute to developing effective strategies to empower youth and enhance their role in society.

The Undersecretary also extended his gratitude to the summit participants for their active involvement and for enriching the discussions and workshops with their ideas and proposals, shared with transparency and sincerity. He specifically thanked the honorees who made outstanding contributions to the field of debates, praising their efforts and excellence.

The summit gathered a distinguished group of ambitious youth from various Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. It served as an opportunity to exchange ideas and visions and explore new horizons to strengthen the role of youth in building a bright future for the region and the world.

The summit concluded with recommendations to develop developmental policies to preserve cultural heritage, support sustainability efforts, and address climate challenges.
