The Qatar Sport For All Federation’s Summer Swimming Program, organized under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, continues to attract growing numbers of children to training sessions held at Al Arabi Sports Club and Al Wakrah Sports Club. The program has also received strong support from families eager to help their children develop new athletic skills and maintain an active lifestyle during the summer break. The program forms part of Sport for All Summer 2026, which features a wide range of sports activities designed for various age groups. Swimming remains one of the federation’s core sports programs because of its physical benefits, its role in building self-confidence, improving mobility, and enhancing overall fitness.
Swimming lessons are offered to boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 11 and focus on teaching fundamental swimming techniques through progressive training programs tailored to each age group. Sessions are conducted by qualified instructors who teach swimming according to recognized scientific and safety standards while encouraging children to continue participating in sports.
Training sessions at Al Arabi Sports Club are held throughout the week. Girls attend classes on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday, with two morning sessions running from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Boys’ sessions take place from Sunday through Wednesday between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. At Al Wakrah Sports Club, boys’ sessions are held from Sunday through Wednesday, while girls’ sessions run from Saturday through Thursday in fully equipped facilities that meet safety and privacy standards and provide an ideal environment for learning swimming and developing essential skills.
The growing popularity of the program reflects the federation’s commitment to expanding sports participation and giving children opportunities to experience a variety of sports during the summer, helping instill a lifelong culture of physical activity while making the school break a meaningful period for learning and personal development.
Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sport For All Federation, said the “Swimming for All” Summer Program continues to enjoy an outstanding atmosphere as participation increases from one session to the next, demonstrating the program’s success in attracting children and reflecting growing interest among families in teaching their sons and daughters how to swim during the summer vacation.
