Ministry of Sports and Youth Honors Winners of the Excellence Award for the 2024–2025 Season Under the Theme “Generations of Excellence, A Nation of Distinction”
The Ministry of Sports and Youth organized a ceremony to honor the winners of the Sports and Youth Excellence Award for the 2024–2025 season, held under the theme: “Generations of Excellence, A Nation of Distinction.” The event reflected a celebratory atmosphere that embodied achievement and appreciation for dedicated efforts.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Qatar Foundation, Qatar Olympic Committee, Aspire Zone Foundation, along with representatives from sports clubs, youth centers, and leading institutions in the fields of sports and youth work.
During the event, His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth, honored the winners across various award categories. Al Sadd SC secured first place in the sports category, followed by Al Arabi SC in second place and Al Rayyan SC in third.
In the youth category, Qatar Scientific Club won first place, with Qatar Youth Hostels Federation taking second, and Doha Girls Center ranking third. For the youth organizations category, Al Khor SC led the rankings, followed by Al Wakrah SC in second place and Al Sailiya SC in third.
His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani stated that the Sports and Youth Excellence Award is not merely a recognition of institutions and clubs, but a living embodiment of the Ministry’s vision to build an integrated system of excellence based on professionalism, innovation, and youth empowerment.
He emphasized the Ministry’s belief that investing in people is the foundation of sustainable development and that sports and youth work are two essential pillars in achieving Qatar National Vision 2030. His Excellency affirmed the Ministry’s ongoing support for all initiatives that contribute to the development of the sports and youth sectors and its commitment to providing an environment where generations can excel, innovate, and build a nation worthy of their ambitions.
He further highlighted that the Ministry today celebrates sincere efforts, remarkable achievements, and institutions that have proven their ability to make a difference in sports and youth work. He explained that this award serves as a motivation for greater dedication, an opportunity to strengthen a culture of institutional excellence, activate the role of general assemblies, and empower youth participation in decision-making and shaping the future.
The Sports and Youth Excellence Award aims to establish a systematic framework for evaluating performance in both sectors, encouraging clubs and institutions to improve their work and contribute to fulfilling the aspirations of Qatari society, thereby reinforcing the country’s leadership in this vital field.
